Dying Inside

As I slowly opened my eyes
The world looked painted in a different shade
Was I imagining stuffs or did things really change?

Not knowing the truth,
I silently hope that life
Will again show the love
That once colored my soul
Foolish heart still hopes
Things will be back like before.

As I am thinking of the old times
Tears trickle down my cheeks
I failed to see the crumpled future
That clouded my tomorrow

Some things never change
Some people never change
Some habits never die
Some eyes never dry

My cheeks are swollen and red
The face that once always smiled
Is encaged in a trap of endless lines

Loving someone
Every scar tells a tale
Of how a soul lost the zing
To know what it felt to feel alive
