A Dreaming Reality

Often I wake up from my dreams
and all I do is sit and cry
‘coz the dreams though beautiful
Yet splits my heart into two..

I often dream of things
That I lack in reality
It leaves me craving even more
For things I perhaps can never have
The people I see in my dreams
The moments I spend with them
The memories that we together make
Makes me wish I forever dream

It is hard to come to reality
‘coz dreams make me smile so big
All the perfect moments of my life
Are wrapped silkily in my dreams

Today, I again dreamt of you
The way we once used to be
The way we will never forever be
And yet my heart craves for it
I closed my eyes shut again
Hoping it will take me back
To the times I spent with you
The times when I felt alive

Perhaps dreams are real
Someday, they too will turn true
Till then I smile in my sleep
And cry when my eyes open wide

love never dies
